Windward at Lakewood Ranch Community Development District
Windward at Lakewood Ranch Community Development District (“District”) is an independent special district, created pursuant to and existing under the provisions of Chapter 190, Florida Statutes, and established by the Sarasota County Board of County Commissioners approval of Ordinance No. 19-050 on December 13, 2019. The District includes within its boundaries approximately 417.319 acres of land located in Sarasota County.
The District has not yet raised funding to install its planned public infrastructure improvements nor does it own any real property.

Windward at Lakewood Ranch Community Development District is a local, special-purpose government entity authorized by Chapter 190 of the Florida Statutes as amended, and established on December 13, 2019 by the City Commission of the City of Sarasota, Florida Ordinance No. 19-050, granting those special powers as set forth in section 190.012(1), Florida Statutes.
